Yorkshire Terrier
The Yorkie is a member of the AKC Toy Group. As a Terrier
he is a highly spirited dog. He is lively and playful. His coat is long
and silky and non-shedding, but needs care. As a pet, (opposed to a
“Show Dog”), he looks just as cute and is definitely more
comfortable with his coat kept shorter. He is lovable and enjoys
cuddling. He will get along very
well in a home where small
children cannot inadvertently harm him Colors are black, with tan, gold
or steel blue around the face and neck and sometimes the back. AKC SHOW
STANDARD lists his weight as under 7 pounds.
